OUR MISSION
One Big Future is India's long-term civilisational platform bringing together leaders, practitioners, and institutions to shape the country's future. We function as connective tissue between long-term thinking and operational reality. Going beyond silos and short-term incentives, we link elite dialogue to practitioner learning and translate institutional conversations into public understanding.
Over time, this positions us to shape institutional agendas materially, build a trusted archive of India's future-oriented thinking, strengthen the capacity of practitioners and decision-makers, and become a reference platform for long-term strategic discourse in India
THEMATIC FRAMEWORK
OBF focuses on long-term questions that shape India's future. We select themes at the intersection of national priority, institutional readiness, and transformative potential — areas where decisions made today will have structural impact over decades.
Our core thematic areas span six interconnected domains: technology, AI, and digital sovereignty; climate, sustainability, and resource futures; economic transformation and capital allocation; governance and democratic resilience; human capital, education, and work; and India's global role. Within these, we explore emerging areas like culture and narrative power, urbanisation, health systems, ethics and trust, and strategic autonomy. These themes evolve continuously, guided by our community of leaders, practitioners, and institutions and changing ecosystem needs.

HOW WE WORK
OBF operates through multi-year Councils that identify emerging questions and opportunities. This produces five forms of engagement: podcasts, articles, whitepapers, roundtables, and an annual forum. Together, they create a permanent civic-intellectual infrastructure where insights move from dialogue to research to action.
