Journalist and Researcher
The Role
Own end-to-end long-form and short-form editorial content across podcasts, interviews, social media, articles, and events at One Big Future (OBF).
What You'll Do
- Lead creation of long-form articles, interview features, and podcast-to-text pieces
- Translate complex conversations, research, and ideas into clear, structured narratives
- Conduct deep background research and prepare editorial briefs for interviews, podcasts, and events
- Shape narrative framing, arguments, and thematic flow, ensuring accuracy and editorial rigour
- Write and adapt content for social media including LinkedIn, Instagram, and X
What We're Looking For
- Excellent long-form and short-form writing and editing skills with strong editorial judgement
- Ability to distil complex ideas into sharp, engaging social copy without losing depth Understanding of how content travels across formats, from a 3,000-word feature to a LinkedIn post to a podcast clip
- Proven ability to engage deeply with economy, policy, technology, and culture
- Strong research capability and narrative clarity
- Experience working with founders, CXOs, or senior leaders
- India-focused perspective with global awareness
Preferred Experience
- 5–7 years in long-form and short-form writing, research, or editorial roles
- Background in reputed media, policy writing, academia, or think tanks
- Strong portfolio of essays, features, interviews, or thought leadership
- SEO-only or purely marketing-led backgrounds are NOT a fit
